Other Works

Check out a few of the poems that I've worked on over the years!

Anchored

The moon is a peephole

To the heavens above

Bold and brazenly

Standing guard

Over night and silent dusk

The moon is a doorknob

Untouched

And bereft of its key

A handle

None will ever grasp

The moon is a lamp

Shearing the veil of darkened unknown

A Stormy Voyage

Life flares

And dies

Like an ember

Seething, hissing, spitting

The foremast looks stoic

In the glint

Of steely light

A lighthouse of resilience

In the vast expanse

Infuriated waves

Ravage the coarse texture

Of the water

Foaming, thrashing

A spectacular beast

Departure

The bleak October autumn

Limps along

Devoid of vibrant color

Contrasting the gentle warmth that encompasses me

My head rests on the pillow of your shoulders

As I seek comfort

Shelter

From the pain

Of one last day

I smile through the tears,

The liquid fire

That scorches on its way down

Further Away

If only the moon

Hadn’t felt like setting that night

The wordless beauty

Would have been transfixed forever

Frozen

Glazed with the yearning

To seek those hands

Under the fading cover

Instead

The blackened fibers

Stretched taut

And brought the moon to its knees

sunrise

morning light blossoms

trickling stealthily nearer

kissing the cold dew

Drawing on Canvas

The moon greases onto the black night

Like a piece of melting butter

The stars tinker around with their arrangements

Chiseling pinpoints of light into the stone of the sky

Existing there

As if to teach mortals how to paint
